📚 1. The Books (Condition & Editions)

Are your books new or used? +

Unless specifically marked as “Used” or “Remainder” in the product title, all books sold on Monvro are Brand New. We source them directly from publishers and authorized distributors.

Note on Shelf Wear: Just like in a physical bookstore, a “New” book might have very minor scuffing on the corners from warehouse handling. This is normal industry standard. However, we never sell damaged books as new.

The cover on the website looks different from the book I received. Why? +

Publishers often update cover art (especially when a movie adaptation comes out) while keeping the same ISBN.

We fulfill orders based on the ISBN. If the ISBN matches, it is the correct book. Think of it as getting a surprise edition!

How do you package Graphic Novels? +

We know the pain of receiving a bent comic via mail. It haunts us too. At Monvro, we package books tightly to prevent shifting. We use sturdy materials to protect the corners and spines. Your collection is safe with us.

📦 2. Shipping & Delivery

How long will it take to get my book? +

Good things take a little time. We are a team of humans, not robots.

  • Processing: It takes us 2–4 business days to inspect and pack your order.
  • Transit: FedEx takes another 6–8 business days to deliver.
  • Total Wait: Typically 8–12 business days.
Do you ship internationally? +

Not at this time. We currently ship exclusively to the Contiguous United States (Lower 48). We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or P.O. Boxes.

Where is my tracking number? +

We will email it to you the moment your shipping label is created.

Pro Tip: If the link says “Label Created,” don’t panic. It just means FedEx hasn’t scanned the box at their depot yet. Give it 24 hours to update.

↩️ 3. Returns & Cancellations

Can I cancel my order if I change my mind? +

You have a 12-hour window after placing the order to request a cancellation. Please email contact@monvro.com immediately. After 12 hours, your order is likely already in the packing queue, and we cannot pull it back.

What is your return policy? +

You have 30 days from delivery to return a book.

Condition is Key: To be eligible for a refund, the book must be unread and in the exact same condition you received it. We cannot accept books with cracked spines, dog-eared pages, or coffee stains.

My book arrived damaged. What do I do? +

If your book arrives with a crushed spine or water damage, please do not return it yet. Instead, take a photo of the damage and email us within 48 hours. We will send a replacement copy immediately for FREE. We take full responsibility for shipping mishaps.

What payment methods do you accept? +

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex) via Stripe and PayPal.

Do you charge sales tax? +

Yes, but only what is required by law. Our system automatically calculates the exact sales tax based on your specific shipping address at checkout. No guessing games.

Do you have a physical store I can visit in San Diego? +

We are an online-only bookstore. Our location on Radio Dr is our office and inventory warehouse, not a retail shop. Operating online allows us to keep a wider selection of curated titles than a small storefront could hold.
